anergies have been directed into other channels for a good many years past.
I have always thought of him more as a Public Health Officer, but he
possesses a good deal of versatility, has kept abreast of his literature,
and, I have no doubt, would soon adapt himself to the altered conditions
of work. I take it that the post in Hong Kong is concerned chiefly with
bacteriology, and in that line of country Minett should be able to hold
his own. Hence, I think that, unless there is some very strong pathological
candidate recently off the stocks, Minett certainly deserves favourable
consideration, especially as he has had large tropical experience.
Moreover his health work should give a practical turn to any bacteriological
research work he might conduct.
Yours very sincerely,
